I've read a ton of articles, blog posts, and comments in the last week or so condemning McCain's choice of Gov. Sarah Palin for the R's VP slot. Some points are valid others are decidedly not valid. While I'm sure we'll all get to hear much more about my feelings towards the Palin Gambit in the coming months I would like, at this time to address one particularly irritating subject that wont seem to go away.
Left Wing Feminists have been coming out in droves to express their disgust at the mere idea that people think they can be bought with a little 'obvious pandering' by the R's candidate. The LWF's have been railing about the level to which they are insulted, how deeply their intelligence has been underestimated etc. etc. etc. But here's the thing that I just can't seem to wrap my brain around; does anyone really believe, or did anyone really believe that the choice of a super conservative, pro-life, anti gay marriage, religious, mother of five was designed to woo liberal democrats? Really? People think that? I don't buy it. And frankly you shouldn't either.
The truth is this choice has been an ugly look in the mirror for a great many Lib's who may suddenly have discovered that the world does not revolve around them. The fact that McCain's choice was a woman seeks only to energize and revitalize the members of his own party, members who might otherwise have stayed at home on election day. I know it's difficult for the LWF's to comprehend, having spent the better part of the last 50 years disowning 50% of the American female population, but there are actually women in the Republican party. There are in fact a great many notable and amazing women in the Republican party. Many of whom have chosen a lifestyle that is all but shat upon by the Left Wing Feminist movement. Now at a time when the R's have chosen, for better or worse, to bring the issue of Right Wing Women to the front and center, they are once again treated like lesser humans by the LWF's. Every time you read an editorial by some LWF about how insulting this choice is, remember that what they actually mean is 'any man is better than a Right Wing Woman'.
Susan Nielsen an associate editor for the Oregonian asks "how dumb does John McCain think women are?" and it makes me wonder; I don't know Susan, how dumb are you? Are you dumb enough to believe that women who happen to be pro-life aren't women any more? Are you dumb enough to believe that women who have an R on their voter registration don't have the same drive to protect and further their own rights? Neilsen says "McCain seems to believe that millions of women voters will coo indiscriminately over any female candidate who comes along. He wants disappointed Hillary supporters to stampede to his side, followed by all other women who are enthralled by Palin's life story." What exactly does she mean by "all other women"? She certainly can't be referring to the 48% of women in this country who vote for R candidates and R issues. She goes on to ask "are women -- particularly moderate pro-choice women -- really as impressionable as McCain hopes?" And I wonder again how self centered do you have to be to think that this move to the right is a move on "moderate pro-choice women". If anything McCain being on the ticket himself is more of a move on "moderate" women than Palin. Many women in the Democratic Party were already threatening to vote McCain if Hillary Clinton didn't get the nomination. Mostly blustering to be sure and certainly not the 'stampede' Neilsen eludes to, but what exactly is a stampede in a close race?
According to the Center for American Woman in Politics (citing Edison Media Research) just three percentage points separated George W. Bush and John Kerry in the last election, amongst women voters. This represents one of the smallest gender gaps in recent electoral memory and it stands to reason that McCain (as a moderately unpopular member of the Republican Party) might want to make a move to hold on to that margin, and that trend. To say nothing of the fact that he desperately needed a VP choice that helped cement both the women and the men in his party. Lest we forget that W. won with a 14% positive margin among male voters as well. Cementing the base would mean that McCain was free to pursue the moderate voters who have been his bread and butter audience all along.
Gloria Steinem argues as eloquently as ever in an op-ed piece for the Los Angeles Times that Palin "shares nothing but a chromosome with Hillary Clinton", and that "to vote in protest for McCain/Palin would be like saying, 'Somebody stole my shoes, so I'll amputate my legs.'" Which is missing the point. Nobody in their right mind thinks that hordes of Left Wing Women are lustily begging their leaders to let them defect like characters in an Aristophanes play. Right Wing Women, however are lacing up their shoes like never before and are canvasing communities, spreading the word and getting out the vote, while angry Hillary Clinton supporters may choose election day to stay at home and do their proverbial hair instead. And what's more every time Steinem and her ilk voice protest they only serve to affirm for many on the Right that Palin is exactly what they were looking for; a woman who shares 'nothing but a chromosome' with Hillary Clinton.
The LWF's need to get over themselves, not every decision made involving a woman is a decision aimed at them, in fact not every decision involving a woman is aimed specifically at women. Men, I've heard, vote quite a little bit as well. A fact I'm sure they would love to downplay. Let us not forget that angry feminists couldn't even manage to take the D's nomination over a handsome under-qualified man. What makes them think that John McCain would suddenly begin shamelessly courting their massive influence when a hugely popular well known Feminist Democrat couldn't take the Democratic nomination from a first term senator? Feminism has a long long way to go and I think maybe the first steps include finding a way to treat men and women of all parties and all viewpoints with some level of respect.

The UN Finds New Way to Stay Off My Christmas Card List
The UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (or the Dirty Pieces of Steaming Shit as their known around my house), decided it wasn't enough for them to call for an end to the transportation industry as we know it, they are now calling for an end to eating meat. Nevermind the fact that their last time they opened their filthy mouths they caused panic all over the world driving up prices on valuable commodities slowing the world economy, for a theory based on some of the worst math ever used by anyone for anything. Nevermind the fact that it was quickly shown that they were more than willing to mislead the public by inflating the number of scientists that actually agreed with their bullshit theory. Now these limp dicked hippies want to take away my dinner. That makes me angry, and it makes my grill angry, and you wouldn't like my grill when it's angry.
Their theory led to a worldwide shift in fuel research, shifting much of the worlds agricultural commitment away from the feeding of people and towards the production of fuel products. Products that have been shown to actually increase dangerous pollution I might add. They drove the price of the global food supply up 75% with no positive results and absolutely catastrophic effects on third world food supplies. Is it any wonder that they have decided to push further into the food market by attempting to drive the cattle and pork industries into the ground.
We stopped producing grains for food causing thousands of poor people to starve, now we want to decrease demand for meat products and thus increase demand for vegetables, which are already nearing impossible price levels already. Wow brilliant. This sounds like a recipe' for a global food crisis. We all know that food crises are the quickest and most effective way to destabilize governments. And if the world's governments which are already having plenty of trouble holding things together start to fall apart, I wonder who will step in to help. I wonder which large governing body will step in to fill the gap... Hmmmm which large governing body would be willing to do that. Oh could it be the very same governing body that issues psuedo-scientific reports recklessly working to destroy the world's food markets?
The Article in this weeks Guardian
I'll eat one less steak a week if every week one member of the IPCC puts a 12ga shotgun in his/her mouth and pulls the trigger. I figure that's the best way to help the environment.

Obama 2008 Convention Speech
First off I'd like to say that this might be one of the best written and delivered political speeches I have seen in my lifetime. I'm not drinking the Kool-aid but I'll be very surprised if John McCain has anything up his sleeve that makes him look or sound more like the leader of the free world than this guy.
I disagree with the larger share of what Captain O has to say. I don't think the government is the solution to our problems, I don't think that Washington should be the protector of industries we have long since left for greener and smarter pastures. I don't think the government needs to protect the auto industry when they are making the changes to protect themselves. I don't think the government needs to protect us from outsourcing jobs, when we as consumers know that 'outsourcing jobs' really means importing low cost labor to lower the cost of important goods and services for average Americans. For years foreign automakers have been selling more cars in America than American auto makers and that is because they can provide higher quality, higher fuel efficiency and lower prices. While thousands of Americans work for the auto industry, millions of Americans drive cars, when we 'protect' those jobs, we do so at the expense of other American families. The American auto industry will learn to survive as they always have, through good old fashioned American ingenuity. And if we want to help them, we need to make this country the most inviting country in the world in which to do business.
I don't want my government to protect farms, as O says, because farms don't need the kind of protection that he claims to offer. Farms, for the most part in America today aren't owned by mom and pop, they are owned by huge multi-national corporations with huge lobby's. The corn industry alone has an enormous strangle hold on the American political system(try buying a Coke with real sugar); corn subsidies drive world prices to unrealistic places while undercutting competitors in nations that need corn, not for wild eyed fuel strategies, but for food. The farms that are owned by small businesses and families require only the protection of a government that doesn't give hand outs to their enormous corporate competitors.
O claims that he will make the government leaner by stripping out unnecessary programs and streamlining the programs that remain. I'd imagine his definition of 'necessary' differs from mine, but i'm for that plan. I'm also in favor unicorns and the fountain of youth but I'm not voting for a politician that promises me those either.
It's ballsy to threaten a crowd of D's with individual responsibility. A thought that usually sends shivers down their spines. One wonders what the leader of the government can actually do to foster said ideas, if in fact he has any intentions of doing so.
I'm not buying what he's selling but I'll tell you this; If tonight is any hint at the next few months, we're going to find out if I'm wrong.
It's McCain's turn to blow our doors off and I've seen very little that makes me think he has it in him.

Hillary Convention Speech String
Nice slideshow...
7:47 the bitch is back
They went with the orange pantsuit which would have been my choice with her skin tone.
Michelle looks cranky before any words are spoken
"and as a proud supporter of Barack Obama..." that must hurt.
It obviously hurt Bill
"Sisterhood of the traveling pantsuits" that's funny.
holy hell this is a boring speech.
How can Hillary Clinton talk with a straight face about the middle class?
McCain stands for "more war and less diplomacy" Didn't her husband bomb an aspirin factory?
When did gender income inequality make it back on top of the D's platform?
Harriet Tubman "keep going" quote is good speech writing.
I'm incredibly sick of the glass ceiling bullshit.
All in all a sufficiently predictable unity speech. Nothing particularly of interest for me. She's playing to the party as we all expected. It looks like she wants their support in 2012. She also pandered pretty heavily to the feminist voters which she and O both really need.
I'm interested to see Bill's speech to find out if he's capable of being this deferential.
The D's are doing a good job of staying positive which has always been their weakness. They are not doing a good job of defining policy and party identity. This will be the weak point of their election bid this year. If they don't find an identity and illustrate it, the R's will do it for them.
They are also running on one of the biggest mistakes they've been carrying around; running against Bush and not against McCain. Watch for the R's to push a very well identified party platform, and for McCain to be billed as his own man.

The Royal Penis
I swear that of all the things I care deeply about in this world, I can't find space on my list for where John Edwards puts his dick.
I just don't care.
I don't care if he knocked up a campaign worker.
I don't care if he's into guys, like Ann Coulter suggests.
I don't care if he's up right now at 4am, standing outside a closed Victoria's secret at the mall in a ninja costume, holding a watermelon with a hole carved in it, fantasizing about fucking his own relatives at a picnic.
The reason that I don't care is that he's not running for president anymore, and he's not a candidate for office where I live, so it's NONE OF MY GODDAMN BUSINESS.
A man's particular integrity is important, but it is important only in as much as he has influence over the lives of other people. When we consider a person for the office of the president we all have an interest in his or her integrity and his or her lifestyle.
When we consider a person for a congressional seat, the people of that particular district have a right to know about the dirty secrets lurking within the man or woman who will potentially represent them.
But it's pretty simple: if you aren't running for anything I vote for, and if you aren't laboring to maneuver your cock into a child, a coma victim, my family, or a puppy... AND if you don't kill them afterward (thanks Ted) It's NONE OF MY GODDAMN BUSINESS.
AAAAAANNND as such it doesn't belong in my newspaper.

George W. Bush is the new FDR
This is unreasonably stupid economics. I'm depressed for the entire country over the oft misused instinct to react with reckless abandon to emotionally charged issues. What's worse is that the tradition of Democrats being the giant reactionary pussies while republicans sat back and calmly waited things out, are certainly over.
If you had to guess the party of a president who oversaw economic hardship and responded by drastically growing the size of government while increasing the overall tax burden, the deficit and the number and size of massive government departments, what party would it be?
It's a good thing this prick will be out of office soon.
It's just to bad the next president is a guaranteed first class douche-bag no matter the outcome of the election.

I'm Still Saying it. GLOBAL WARMING IS A SCAM.
GLOBAL WARMING IS A SCAM.
I was watching an episode of some tv show or another this week on DVD. Al Gore did a guest spot in which he let slip a very telling remark.
"we need C02 taxes to replace the payroll taxes"
And it got me thinking. Not just about a convoluted scheme to change the tax system; because I'm all for eliminating the payroll taxes. And not just about the idea that big time commie's like Al Gore do nothing but sit around and think of ways to raise taxes, because we all know that. What I started to think about is what would be the benefit and to whom would it go, if global warming were in fact an intentional bullshit scam and not just the ravings of scientists who are shitty at math.
Obviously an environmental crisis is good for people who make 'environmentally friendly products'. Even today at work we discussed how we could get a grant to upgrade our equipment as long as we used LED technology because it uses less electricity and is therefor 'green'. If, in my business we are scamming for green dollars you can bet your ass the rest of the world is clamoring for them as well. So it stands to reason that there is a large base of people who benefit economically from the scam... I mean the crisis of course.
But I wonder if there might be a larger more interesting grift in progress. If you want to employ a conman with the largess of a man who thinks he was robbed of the most powerful position in the world, one wonders what you might have come up with as a motivator. Perhaps the greatest motivator of all is in the mix... World Domination.
I know it sound preposterous, like the ramblings of a conspiracy theorist, or the plot to a Hollywood movie. We are historically, constantly amazed by the presence among us of those who strive for such obscene and grandiose ideas. But historically thats just what we have had. We have tended to give long leashes to those in our midst that sought these kinds of ends, but we have never been in short supply of them.
Mussolini, Hitler, Stalin, Napoleon. None of these men seemed like crazy sons-of-bitches bent on the sick pursuit of global power at the start. Sure we know they were psycho now, but at the time at least the majority of their countrymen, (or the majority of their elite) thought them to be reasonable men with a passionate cause for all mankind.
We are not past that kind of thinking and we are not past that kind of ambition. So then what would be my evidence for this supposition. Lets be clear at this point that I am hypothesizing, and not presenting a set of concrete conclusions. I am not doing what the environmental lobby does which is to turn supposition into indisputable fact. All I'm doing is suggesting that it's possible that there might be an ambition behind the global warming movement that isn't exactly altruistic.
Al Gore, was endorsed in the presidential race by Dick Gephart, who is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. George W. Bush was endorsed by his father who is a member (and leader for a time) of the Council on Foreign Relations. George Bush Sr. proposed a 'new world order' which has long been a goal of the Council on Foreign Relations. Al Gore supposes that a series of questionable data points to a crisis of global proportions requiring global solutions, that also has the benefit of a nebulous time scale beyond "drastically urgent". This crisis also benefits from the the fact that the only real evidence used to promote it's existence is... Any kind of weather. I'll repeat that for those of you that were skimming, the evidence that global warming disasters are approaching is any kind of weather event. What's required to solve this crisis is a system of world wide treaties, taxes, penalties and laws, to ensure that, in a global economy, everyone plays the same.
The perfect storm for say... the Council on Foreign Relations.
It's perfect, there's no way for an event to happen that gets in their way, there's no kind of weather that doesn't help their cause. They can explain anything because their data is hardly concrete. And no one can dispute their basic argument that WEATHER CHANGES.
To top it off the current president has bungled almost everything he's done to the point of devaluing the American currency and driving the cost of commodities such as fuel and food, through the roof. Both important commodities in maintaining the independence of the last major super power, or as some might see it the last remaining stronghold of economic independence. But does the current president seem upset as his leadership is widely regarded even by his own party as a monumental disaster? No, he seems upbeat about it. Is that perhaps because he is the foil to the larger ambitions of his brothers at the CFR, to tear down the world economies just in the same period of history most ripe for globalization? I mean that has to be a coincidence right? Al Gore and George Bush have nothing to do with each other right? Except that they are both endorsed and promoted by the Council on Foreign Relations, which is widely known to seek a single global government.
I could be wrong. This might not be the case.
But it might. And if it is, holy shit you think rising tides are scary?
And for the record, MAN MADE GLOBAL WARMING IS BULLSHIT.

But it might. And if it is, holy shit you think rising tides are scary?
And for the record, MAN MADE GLOBAL WARMING IS BULLSHIT.

What's the Difference
I'm having trouble with a group of people lately and their ideas. Not so much a problem as a complicated difficulty understanding their point of view.
As a resident of Los Angeles I see 'hispanic' issues as significant and relevant to the day to day lives of the people around me. I see the effects of illegal immigration on every aspect of day to day life here both in the positive and the negative. I have very defined and strong opinions on those effects and what should be done to support of assuage them.
One group of people that bothers me, calls themselves 'La Raza' which means 'the race' in spanish.
When it comes from a disadvantaged minority they sound like a sad group of people that need help. But in essence what they are is a group of extremist, brown supremacists. It's hard to characterize and I would rather not do so. But when you couch your name and rhetoric in the same terms and basic language as the Nazis it makes very little difference if you message is one of peace and acceptance or if you openly intend to rid North America of it's filthy white influences. It all sounds like a racist rant to me, and though I wont' be voting for John McCain, I will not be voting for people that support racial ignorance on the part of any group even if they aren't white.
It's time to recognize hate and evil in any color not just white.

Former White House Press Secetary Decides Not to End Career
Scott McClellan released his inevitable book this week. And in the fashion of rats from a sinking ship he takes ample time (I have heard) to tear into the President's Iraq policy and other things. Read about it at Politico (link below).
I wont argue the points he makes because they are in all likelihood totally true and worthwhile. I will say this, when you spent so much time at a podium defending these specific decisions can cutting ties with them after the fact actually save your career? And if it can save your career, what does it say about the man that you are?
I guess it says that you weren't paid well enough to retire and are afraid that if you don't cut and run your career is as over as GW's... I mean the man is only 40, he has some time to kill before he can retire.

Teddy K.
With reports of Ted Kennedy's almost, not really, demise today, the news was flooded with an outpouring of love and support for one of the worst Americans since FDR. It's odd because I thought I was watching CNN where that kind of left wing love festival for such a blatant commie, elitist, scum piece of shit like TK would make sense but oddly enough I saw Fox News logos all over the screen. Far be it for me to defend Fox News for it's impartiality but I can't imagine what kind of meeting they had to have before giving him a pass on a day like today.
I actually heard a pundit refer to TK as 'never compromising his integrity."
Perhaps I am not well versed on 'integrity' but I'm pretty sure it's at least a minor compromise to leave the scene of an accident where you have drunkenly caused the brutal drowning death of an innocent young woman and slink back to the security of your compound to sleep it off before alerting the authorities a day later about the corpse you left in the wake of your party.
Also it may not be reeking of integrity to use your political influence and considerable wealth to organize a misdemeanor charge and a suspended sentence out of the whole affair.
Every time I see someone talk about what a 'Great American' TK is with his 45+ years of political 'service', I try to forge past the miles and miles of damage that his legislation has caused to real Americans who don't get the free pass he did. I try to ignore those politically charged issues on which he and I disagree and focus only on the actual damage he has caused people personally during his life. I also try not to focus on the whoring and the alcoholism (cause really who am I to judge on those grounds) and focus only on what an elitist, snobby, worthless, fat, diseased (probably, seizures are one of the main symptoms of Syphilis), hypocritical piece of shit that he is. Who else could oppose Roe V. Wade adamantly before it was law, and then after it was law speak with vitriolic condemnation on the floor of the senate about...wait for it, people who oppose Roe V. Wade.
That's how I manage to hold back the tears when I hear he's not well.
Seriously when I closed my eyes the news today sounded like the Nixon funeral coverage, with it's glowing adorations and complete omission of the horrible effect he had on the country.

The Dean Scream Back Again?
Howard Dean was on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart last night and it was... hoo ho, it was grand.
Not a minute into the interview, the first question out of the box, Dean promises to seat the Florida and Michigan delegates at the D's national convention this year.
Wow... Awesome.
I suppose, as usual it doesn't matter what Howie D. is saying. He seems to have never had any control over his own party, it would be odd to believe that this was any different. It's especially empty given the election results of tonights primaries. It stands to reason that Hillary may be all but a nasty memory.
But...
From the full seating of these two delegations Hillary stands to gain between 65 and 100 more delegates than Obama, who currently has a 150 delegate lead (including pledged super-delegates). That means that if the undecideds and Edwards delegates in these two crowds fall even mildly in her favor she sits in a 50 to 75 delegate race. With 267 un-pledged, party elite super-delegates it's not as sewn up as some might imagine.
There are some primaries left as well, Oregon has 52 delegates to assign, as well as West Virginia with 28, Montana with 16, South Dakota with 15 and Kentucky with 51. Factor in the 55 delegates from Puerto Rico and the numbers get even mushier. 188 of these remaining delegates are in closed primaries which in states with less than 100 delegates have trended pretty strongly towards Obama. 99 of them are in open primaries which will likely be heavily attended by R crossovers and have trended towards Hillary, thanks in no small part to Rush Limbaugh.
If we hypothetically assume a greater margin of victory in the open primaries left to run falling for Hillary than the margin of those in closed primaries falling to Obama then we could imagine a 15 to 20 delegate swing for Hillary. Again hypothetically speaking. That puts her within 30 delegates in her wettest of dreams and again we don't know what those super-delegates are going to do.
Also we need to remember that in the delegate counting convention world all Hillary really has to do is keep Obama under 2025 delegates and she can force a second vote, and in a second vote previously committed delegates are free to move(and open to bribery and manipulation) . For her to pull this off she would need a compromise that kept the Fla and Mi delegations out of the first vote (as they stand to deliver at least 126 of the remaining 183 needed by Obama). Also she has to have something like 200 to 250 of the remaining super-delegates in her pocket. But that's not really unimaginable is it? I mean why would anybody stay in the race with these numbers if she didn't have an ace up her sleeve?
Watch for this obviously ridiculous scenario in the coming days. If you see a deal brokered that keeps the Fla and Mi delegations at the convention but unable to vote in the first round or unable to vote in full numbers, remember you read about this odd electoral farce here first.
One thing to note of course is that every minute of this preposterous series of events makes the D candidate (whom ever he or she may be) look more and more like the leader of a three ring circus than a viable candidate. The worst possible thing for the D's is a four day floor fight in prime time with ship jumping delegates deciding the party's candidate. Most especially bad for the party that presents itself as the populist choice.
Perhaps Howie D. has screamed again and sent the D's down the losing track.. We'll all just have to wait and see.

I Can't Decide
This week three New York City Detectives were acquitted of all charges relating to the shooting death of an un-armed black groom on his wedding day. The Reverend Al Sharpton has threatened to use his influence to shut down the city of New York in protest.
I can't decide who to root for in this ridiculous shit storm.
First of all I'm starting to think that it's ill advised to allow police to carry guns. It seems that the power is just too intoxicating for this crowd of type a high school graduates with clear authority issues. I can see how an officer would accidentally mistake a hand or arm movement for a threatening attempt to pull a gun. What I can't understand is how after the 30th or even 40th time they have shot the man, if they haven't actually seen a gun, why wouldn't they pause and maybe take stock of the situation. Also it seems likely that this is a problem of incompetence rather than racial malice, but shouldn't it be a criminal offense to shoot an unarmed man out of your own incompetence?
On the other hand, we have Al Sharpton, who is by most sensible accounts a complete fucking douche-bag. Al has always been jealous of the Honorable Reverend Jesse Jackson and the one accomplishment of his that Sharpton has never been able to live up to; instigating a riot that ends in the senseless murder of an innocent Jew. So Al uses every opportunity to turn the involvement of an innocent black citizen in a bad situation into lynching, out of which he can trigger his own bigoted, hate filled, race war. Alas for Al only about nine people in the world give a shit what he has to say.
On another hand (I'm borrowing extra hands now) I think it's high time to see New York City put on it's ass for any reason really. The place stinks, it's filled with a haze of putrid arrogance. The city itself seems to have a consciousness and that consciousness is a fucking asshole. Each and every citizen of NYC is proud to live in that rat infested, urine stained, waste of space. I giggled like a little girl when the transit strike locked that place down.
I guess when it boils down to is that we have a big crowd of dipshits that deserve significantly more punishment than they will receive. And in the end what's lost by the media and our crazy society is that there is one person still with us that has been punished way more than we should ever have to imagine. There's still a bride out there that was widowed on what was supposed to be the happiest day of her life.
So I just can't decide who the biggest asshole is in this case.

A Million Michigan D's Just Questioned their Party Affilliation
It looks as thought the D's are incapable of scraping out a new Michigan primary. I wonder how D voter turnout will be in Mich. for the general. Mich. is traditionally a D state but I have to think this kind of spit in the face of D' voters by the D' state party leadership may open the field here.

Whoo Hooo!!!!
Supreme Court to Back Gun Owners
In arguments today the majority of the Supreme Court Justices argued for interpreting the Second Amendment as an individual right to keep guns for self defense.
Now if we could just get a clear ruling defending the rights of the citizens to use said guns to defend against warrantless searches and 'wrong door' raids.

The week in Democrats... Spitzer? I hardly know her.
If you enjoy watching the D's suffer then the last week or so has made you grin from ear to ear.
D' Governor of New York is dethroned in a scandal of infidelity, prostitution and hypocrisy so deep if you dropped a rock in it you would never hear it hit the bottom.
His replacement Lt. Governor and cross-eyed blind imbecile David Paterson took office with the fantastic announcement that he and his wife were no strangers to the beds of... well strangers.
A former aide of the disgraced former governor of New Jersey (Jim McGreevey) chose this week to tell the world about his bisexual threesomes with McGreevey and his wife.
The national D party which seemed to have a lock on the presidency if only it could make up it's mind on which shitty candidate is the heir apparent; has thrown down the gauntlet by denying it's Florida citizens representation in it's convention.
As if that weren't enough the D' voters in Mich. will get a three stooges-esque do-over showing the world that D's are not even capable of following their own silly bullshit rules.
It looks like there's almost no way that the D's are going to escape a candidate decision on the floor at the convention and the R's will have had like 6-8 months of head-start. Whats more is that the country will have plenty of time to forget the ugly things that R's have said about their candidate, while the D's will still have plenty of fresh blood on their shirts.
I'll say it again the Democrats eat their young.

New York Democrats
As if I needed another reason to think that New York is the deepest pit in Hell. I have commented before in private that I thought this presidential election was going to boil down to which self important New York piece of shit we could tolerate the most. Fortunately it hasn't turned out that way but if you aren't sure why then Governor Eliot Spitzer might shed some light on it. New York is the shining symbol of self important narcissistic arrogance in the world today. All the press in the world can't change the fact that while NY thinks itself the de-facto capital of the united states, we still all know it's just a crowded shit-hole. Demoncrat Governor Fuckahoe ran on a platform of crusading against government corruption. And now he's up to his ears in illegal prostitution. Sweet.
Let's be clear that while prostitution is against the law in most locations (notably New York and DC) I am not interested in chastising anyone for business arrangements between consenting adults. I only seek to condemn a man for his profound hypocrisy and the arrogance with which he has sought out 'corruption' while subversively attempting to smear his political opponents.
Spitzer
In post script I would like to add that any business in which an American woman with no specific educational background can bill at $4,300 a night can hardly be justifiably prohibited.

Pictures of Guns Kill People
I've decided to pursue a life of crime. I'm going to rob banks and liquor stores with a gun printed on a t-shirt. After all the only thing more dangerous than a gun is a t-shirt. Put the two together and people will be scared shitless. I'm not sure it will work everywhere so I'll go ahead and only work in Lancaster PA.
Kids and Guns
I am sick and fucking tired of living in a 'post-anything' world. That's become the catch phrase to justify any and all attempts to violate civil rights, to control people, to assault people and their freedoms; Post 9-11, Post Columbine, Post Iraq, Post Cold War.
Well you just can't be too careful in a post-common sense, post-freedom world.

Kaliforn-ucation
According to a Kalifornia state court of appeals in a recent ruling "parents do not have a constitutional right to homeschool their children." More important is the stated purpose of the educational system.
"...primary purpose of the educational system is to train school children in good citizenship, patriotism and loyalty to the state..."
Really.. I swear I've read that somewhere before.

Happy Birthday
If you were born on this date in 1924... Happy 21st Birthday. After 84 years you can finally drink a beer. I'll buy.
Really? Mondale? Really?
There's a stink about the Clinton campaign. A stink that seems familiar to some. No I'm not talking about the stink of used up whores that stick's to Mr. Bill. I'm talking about the stink of desperation.
One of the benefits of a field full of terrible, and similarly destructive candidates is that I can revel in the failures and pitfalls of anyone who isn't doing well. I can be just as gleeful as I want to be when I see Hillary shitting in her own pool, because I know that there is no probable positive outcome to this presidential election. No matter what happens the next president of the United States will be a douche bag, who won by defeating other douche bags. Sure it might be a half black douche bag, or a female douche bag; Or a douche bag who is only an R' because he's got a bone to pick with the VC and the D's hate that. But it will definitely be a grade-A prime douche bag.
I digress.
Clinton scored points recently by tricking Obama into calling a photo of himself a dirty trick (why do they take the bait?) and tricking the R's into using the same photo in racially charged direct mail. The mere fact that anyone swung at that pitch in the dirt is incredible; let alone everybody swinging for the fences. All the while Hill's campaign just sat back and commended the Senator for learning about other cultures. Score one for Hill; but it was not enough to save her drowning mission to get blown by an intern in the oval office. The stink of desperation is as follows: Stealing campaign ads from Walter Mondale. (might be hard to really call it stealing as the ads were made by the same person)

G-Phone
I want it. I'm skipping the I-phone altogether. Just a note I have already weened myself away from Microsoft's Office software because of superior 'free' open source products like Open Office. I can't wait for a new platform for open source smart phone development.

AARP
I keep seeing ads for AARP's special insurance program for older drivers. I find myself wondering what special coverage might be necessary for those more experienced drivers who are advanced in years. The ad makes it seem like AARP's pool of mature drivers facilitates lower rates. I'm not an insurance expert though I have had some experience with the structures involved in risk management. I ask is this really a low risk group?
* In November, an 89-year-old man whose car hurtled through a farmers market in California in 2003, killing 10 people and injuring more than 70 others, received five years of probation because a judge deemed him too ill to go to prison.
* Last August, a sport utility vehicle driven by an 89-year-old man plowed into pedestrians and vendors at an open-air public market in Rochester, N.Y., injuring 10 people.
* In October 2005 in North Dakota, an 87-year-old woman on her way to a doctor appointment smashed her car into the hospital’s lobby, injuring five women.
Perhaps AARP offers special 'after forty years of driving I forgot which pedal was the breaks and I plowed through a crowd of school children' forgiveness.
Or maybe I should stop watching television in the middle of the afternoon.

Sobbing Women

" Tell you about them sobbing women
Who lived in the Roman days
It seems that they all went swimming
While their man was off to graze
Well, a Roman Troop was riding by
And saw them in their me-oh-my
So they took them all back home to dry
Least, that's what Plutarch says
Oh, yes, them a-women was sobbing
Sobbing, sobbing fit to be tied
Every muscle was throbbing, throbbing
From that riotious ride
Seems they cried and kissed
And kissed and cried
All over that Roman countryside
So don't forget that
When you're taking a bride
Sobbing fit to be tied
From that riotious ride"
-- From the Musical Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
I won't say much in defense of John McCain but I am pretty sure he cried less in five years in a bamboo cage than this ridiculous idiot has in the last three months. If I were a democrat I would be praying for an Obama victory.

Nobody Told Her
Perhaps the D's aren't trading notes anymore. Somebody should slip Hill a post-it or something. Everybody knows that in order for a D to become president s/he needs to at least pretend not to be a communist dictator until AFTER the election. It's just a minor timing issue really. Easy mistake to make. Amateurs do it all the time. Just a little cart-before-the-horse problem that can be easily remedied. I can offer a simple formula that can, perhaps, shed a little light on the process.
STEP 1. GET ELECTED
STEP 2. ANNOUNCE GRAND PLAN TO GARNER PEOPLE'S WAGES IN ORDER TO FORCE THEM TO BUY HEALTH INSURANCE
You see if you get those steps in the wrong order, people think you are fucking communist idiot.
If you hang your entire election on two concepts:
A. You have the right idea to fix what you claim is a wildly broken health insurance system.
B. You have the right idea to fix an ailing economy.
You should NOT, and I can't seem to figure out a way to emphasize this enough, you should NOT tell everyone that your plan to fix the health insurance system is... drum roll please; make it illegal to not buy health insurance. And do NOT throw in a bonus personal financial penalty for to worry about.
Truly a brilliant plan; I can't wait for the next step when she makes poverty illegal and punishable by a huge fine.
If you want to actually be president just wait a little longer, hold out for just a few more months. And never announce ahead of time your master plan to jam your giant black Stalinist dildo up our collective asses.

Late advice to Barack Obama on recieving the Gentleman from Massachusetts
Guidelines for receiving the Gentleman from Massachusetts:
1. It's no secret that political figures are prone to certain involuntary behaviors such as the shaking of hands and the kissing of babies. It is usually harmless and generally acceptable to indulge this behavior. If, however, the Gentleman from Massachusetts is startled he may become confused; tranquilizer darts may be employed to stop or prevent the kissing of hands and the most unfortunate shaking of babies.
2. The Gentleman from Massachusetts, like many of his colleagues, has an uncontrollable penchant for the imbibing of distilled spirits. This may seem harmless to the casual observer. Nevertheless in the interest of the common welfare this
must be prevented. Many a small country or babysitter has been wiped off the
face of the earth in the wake of the Gentleman from Massachusetts and a cask of well aged brandy, or even a jug of filthy bathtub swill.
3. No person of any age being of the opposite sex should be left alone
in the presence of the Gentleman from Massachusetts. There need not be any further explanation, except to say that if in any case this guideline is broken the following
websites should be of the utmost import.
Planned Parenthood
Poison Control
4. No person of any age, being of the same sex should be left alone in
the presence of the Gentleman from Massachusetts. Better to be safe than sorry.
5. The Gentleman from Massachusetts should not be allowed to operate heavy machinery or automobiles as there is significant evidence to suggest a genetic
predisposition to unfortunate incidents involving mechanical implements.
6. Any articles left behind or dropped by the Gentleman from Massachusetts should be treated with the same care as any biological hazard. Latex gloves and eye
protection are highly recommended for their disposal. Items may include but
are not limited to the following: Empty liquor bottles, tufts of hair,
prescription drugs, prophylactics (used or otherwise), semi-conscious women, young boys, alligator carcasses, half eaten copies of the constitution, undergarments, souls of the damned, coin wrappers, rubber bands, address books filled with the phone numbers of third-rate-backwoods strippers and prostitutes, surgical implements and of course piles of the haplessly discarded hopes and dreams of a generation slowly choking to death on its own sick poisonous sweat.
Remember that these are just a few simple guidelines and the
true secrets to of survival with the Gentleman from Massachusetts lies in the subtleties of adaptation, a constant state of awareness and of course healthy quantities of mace and antibiotics.

They all look the same to me
I can't decide if Bill Clinton comparing Barack Obama to the Right Honorable Reverend Jesse Louis Jackson Sr. is intended to be a compliment or not. I know that the Right Honorable Reverend was a close friend and confidant to the former Pres. while he was banging that heavy set broad in the oval office (who better to consult with than the adulterous father of numerous illegitimate children). It stands to reason that Willy J. thinks highly of the young senator. One can only wonder if he made the comments in order to somehow ride Obama's coat-tails in a state where his ugly little wife didn't stand a chance. OR maybe he just cant tell the difference from one black man to another.

Police Raids
Yet another in a long stream of good points made my Reason.Com Senior Editor Radley Balko. Why do the Police use tactics intended to 'bewilder and confuse' people and subsequently argue that a bewildered, confused person shooting at police in the middle of the night is, of course, lying.

Dixville Notch
With a record of 70 percent accuracy the voters of Dixville Notch NH cast their ballots at exactly midnight last night. With 7 votes Barack Obama took the village's democratic primary. If history serves as an indicator of future results that will mean he is the next president of the united states. To add insult to injury he is the first Democrat to take the popular vote in a Dixville Notch since at least 1980. To be fair though this year the town's 17 registered voters consisted of 10 D's and 7 R's. John McCain won for the R's but with only 4 votes.
As always there is a silver lining Hillary Clinton got her ass handed to her again with no votes to speak of.

I almost missed this
Ask around and many of the 'experts' will tell you that while Governor Mike Huckabee stands a pretty fair chance of taking the republican nod from Iowa tomorrow, that he probably doesn't have the support he needs to be a major player in some of the less evangelical states. While he has come on strong in the conservative stronghold of the Midwest, widespread is the suggestion that the northeast belongs to Romney and a Guliani 'firewall' Florida run will collectively shut down the efforts of the former minister. Even what many are calling a gaff this week in which Huckabee revealed the negative ad he 'was pulling' seems to play into the overall feeling that he may not have the legs for the full campaign.
But I see another trend, if you can call it that. Maybe just a single choice, that speaks volumes as to the tenacity and the will of Gov. Huckabee as a serious contender to watch for in this primary season. On of the newest acquisitions for the Huckabee team is none other than Ed Rollins. Rollins as many will recall was one of the principle architects behind the Reagan 49 state victory in 84'. Author of the book 'Bare Knuckles and Back Rooms' he is as unabashedly competitive as a political heavy can get. Rollins likens politics not to friendly idealistic debate but to bare knuckle boxing, and winner take all bloodsport.
Rollins co-managed Ross Perot's campaign in 92' and while that may cast a shadow of doubt on him, keep in mind that Perot looked like he was riding a rocket ship to the white house till the day after Rollins quit. Then he dropped out of the race and everybody discovered what made Rollins leave, Perot was a whack-job.
The addition of Rollins is a contrast to Huckabee's personal style of playing fair, playing nice, and letting the voters determine who to trust. It is certainly a sign of two very important things in a political campaign; the determination necessary to win, and the self confidence of a candidate that believes he can be the Alpha in any group of people. Unless you are prone to immeasurably huge blunders you don't bring in a rabid dog unless you know you can hold onto the leash. But you also don't bring him in if you intend to hold onto the leash all the time.
Look for bold, strong, unexpected shots from this campaign in the coming months. Competitors in this race can count on leaving blood on the canvas. Huckabee's meditative sense of self and turn-the-other-cheek attitude may keep the campaign from tilting too far to the negative, but that doesn't mean he's going to remain a soft target. Rollins is the kind of guy you hire when you don't just want to knock guys down, you them killed and their bodies eaten.

Congress has lost its goddamn mind. Just kidding they never had minds
We're in an ugly war in a part of the world that can't help but hate us more and more each day. A part of the world that has more than it's fair share of idiots with bombs and no regard for human life.
We're in the middle of a small economic crisis with crashing home values, incredible mortgage default rates and crowds of experts holding their hands up and stating 'hell I don't know when it'll get better'.
People are being murdered by the thousands in Darfur.
There's a climate issue that a lot of people think has something to do with us and very few people are investigating the massive fraud involved in that mess.
The Prius uses more fossil fuels in production and recycling than the hummer in it's entire life span, but people still aren't shooting those irritating slow driving HOV lane hogging pieces of shit.
The 'War on Drugs' is a miserable failure and has led only to the intense militarization of the American police forces and the amazing increase in funding for narco-trafficking. Oh and incredible increases in violent crime.
The United States has a greater percentage of it's population in prison than any nation in the world (discounting Rwanda for obvious reasons).
BUT DON'T WORRY EVERYONE
The United States Congress (one of the most powerful governing bodies in the world) with it's whopping 29percent approval rating will be addressing that Steroids in Baseball issue... Whooo; What a relief.
Hey Congress...
I have a BIG G.F.Y. for ya.

Animal Activists, still crazy morons
Seriously this is what they spend their time being pissed about. Why do we all think that everybody has an equal right to their opinion? Are you fucking kidding me? I mean there are way bigger fish to fry than which fish has to wear a hat.. Well ok that's a pretty big fish (I know it's a mammal do not comment on that), but maybe if they were actually frying it I could see someone getting upset; but a hat? Really? I make my dogs wear hats.

Guy Fawkes
Remember, remember the fifth of november
the gunpowder treason and plot.
I know of no reason the gunpowder treason
should ever be forgot
Guy Fawkes Guy Fawkes twas his intent
to blow up the king and Parliament.
It's no coincidence that Ron Paul supporters chose yesterday's date to organize a huge fund raising protest.
4.2 million dollars in 24 hours as a matter of fact. No doubt supporters intend that money for a non-violent version of the Guy Fawkes gun powder plot. In direct opposition to corruption in the government, Ron Paul supporters intend to take down as much of the criminal government as possible.
All I have to say is 4.2 million dollars in 24 hours. Who thinks we're screwing around now?

In Other News
Teddy K. goes under the knife today with a 'blocked artery'(read syphilitic infection). Lets all wish him well and a speedy recovery so he can get back to his busy schedule of hammering in the stakes for the Communist Party tent, while drinking himself retarded, fucking a waitress and murdering pretty young campaign staffers.

Remember when they gave the Nobel Prize to Yasser Arafat and we all collectively said 'wow they are awarding it to that terrorist piece of shit. This is an all-time low. I can't imagine them doing anything more stupid ever.'

And here it is
The ultimate strategy comes to fruition.
step one: Create or Locate a potentially scary thing.
Step two: Market the idea, manipulate it to make it the scariest thing possible
Step three: let the fund raising begin.
Global warming is a bake sale. Figure out who really gets the money and you'll see what's really going on.

Liberty for all?
Can anyone answer this one question for me? Is it illegal to resist and illegal arrest?
How about this one: Is assault not assault if the person committing the act has a badge?
Or this question: When does another person have the right to put their hands on your body?
What about this: Under what circumstances specifically is it not your individual right to defend yourself from a violent attacker?
Or this: If two ordinary citizens are having a heated conversation and one of them elevates it to a physical dispute, isn't that person committing an illegal act?
Is it legal if under the exact same circumstances the physical aggressor is an agent of the government?
Is it legal if the person who is assaulted is asking hard questions?
What if it's just because they don't shut up when the government agent tells them to shut up?
I feel like there may be some sort of fundamental document that covers this sort of thing. Maybe a bill of some sort, with like enumerated rights on it. I don't know. The legal system is so complicated and the 40 lawyers I carry with me at all times won't explain the ins and the outs and the what have yous. If only there was some sort of guideline by which we could all derive some sort legal knowledge. If only there was one document that ensured that we all knew when an agent of a tyrannical government was violating our fundamental freedoms, so we would know without legal consultation if it was alright to defend ourselves or if we, in fact, deserved to be silenced.

The 80/20 Gambit
A few weeks ago the headlines in the presidential election process were dominated by outgoing white house aid Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove stating that Hillarity Clinton would never be able to win the general election with the 46 percent negative rating that she carries like a great big monkey on her back. It was all the rage. Then without any real significant reason talk of her negatives seemed to wane, and talk of her primary opponents strengths began to take center stage.
Cut To:
Newt Gingrich announces this week that Hillarity has an 80 percent chance of making it through the primary and winning the general election. 80 percent... How in the back-rooms of Repugnant heavy hitters has she gone from no chance to 80 percent... Hmmm, one cannot help but wonder who shouldn't be taken at face value... Ok, one doesn't have to wonder long. I don't know if Newt is planning a run for the white house, I'd wager 70/30 against it, but you never know, this season will likely be filled with unusual and unexpected events. What I do know is that above wanting to look right, Newt is an R team player and he wants to win. What better way to secure a victory than to play the expectations game in your opponent's primary. Raise expectations and excitement among H supporters while downplaying her opponents and you stand a much greater chance of getting the opponent you really want in the general election. Plus there's the bonus of setting up impossible standards for her steps to victory. If she falls short of landslide anywhere along the way even a victory looks like a loss, and a 'wise' opponent (read: Gingrich or one of his ilk)looks like a superstar. Play the right cards early like this and the R's may avoid hard target positive campaigners like Obama-lama-ding-dong and in stead get to go head to head with Hillarity... And her monkey.

Universal Health Care
As it stands right now if you buy your own health insurance you can get treatment even if you choose to live your life by your terms. If you support a more socialist health care system this is what you have to look forward to. Also you look forward to imposing this system on everyone else.
Hope you like being forced to live one state approved lifestyle.

Senator Craig
I've been trying not to waste my time with this 'Sen. Craig in the bathroom with the shoe thing'. I've mostly avoided it because I can't think of anything I care less about than where other people meet for sex. I keep hearing reports and something just wont leave me alone. A man was arrested in an airport bathroom for tapping another man's foot and waving his fingers under a bathroom stall. Maybe it's some weird gay code but I don't know what it would stand for. What's more is that if it is some weird gay code, I am hard pressed to find where it is legally binding. I've not been privy (to be honest from lack of effort I'm sure) of any publicly declared code of conduct that specifically identifies such behavior as an explicit invitation for sex.
Senator Craig can resign or not, he can lose his next election or win it. I really really don't care. What does concern me is that in a society with more than 4 murders per hundred thousand people per year, in a society where we are constantly barraged with illegal searches in order to "protect" us at the airport; the police are wasting our time and money setting up sting operations to police the way that homos hit on each-other. Is this really our priority? Are we as a society so fucked up that we care how people agree to fuck each other? What's next? Setting up stings in the airport bar; if you smile and buy someone a drink is that still OK? Is it less OK if a guy buys a guy a drink, and what specific statute regulates this kind of behavior?
Look I don't want people fucking in bathroom stalls either. It's creepy, for sure. But are we all as a group certain that a foot tap and a hand under a stall is a guarantee of lewd action? This is a waste of taxpayer dollars and a waste of police time.
Listen to the interview with Craig. It may seem obvious that he's lying to cover up his behavior (it may not). But focus on the specific behavior to which he's being asked to admit. Listen to the specific nuances of behavior that lead the police officer to accuse him of lying. Listen to the way that the police officer manipulates him by routinely suggesting that if he confesses to this behavior then no one has to find out about it.
Interview with Craig
So is the open palm facing up a crime but a closed palm facing down is fine? Is the crime committed when the hand breaks the horizontal plane of the bottom of the stall wall or is the crime committed when the hand breaks the vertical plane of the stall wall? What if the hand is open, palm up (supinated) when it crosses the horizontal plane but rotated palm down (pronated) when it crosses the vertical plane? What if the opposite is true?
I'm so glad I'm not gay. I mean this code is complicated. As a straight male all I have to do buy a drink, make an offer, get rejected and go home to watch pornography on the internet. It's so much simpler.
I wonder how many times I have to ask this question; Can anybody tell me why it is that people don't trust the police? I just can't seem to figure it out. I mean it can't be the lying, the traps, the constant use of citizens as a fund raising opportunity, the arrogant attitudes, or the complete lack of appropriate oversight. It's probably not even the fact that police routinely get away with the same offenses with which they charge others.
I just don't know.
What I do know is that Congress should have a higher standard for it's members than for others. What I do know is that police activities are the direct result of legislative decisions. The US government, State and Local legislators and counselors, these are the people that created our police state and it never hurts my feelings to see one of them get bit by the same machine they created to control the citizens.
Police are coming into the homes of innocent people in droves with military training, military weapons, a judicial system weighted grossly in their favor, and complete disdain for a constitution that they openly believe to be arcane.
But our airport bathrooms are protected from consenting sexual advances. Or at the very least they are protected from supinated palms below the horizontal plane of the stall walls. Cause that's a huge national security issue.

Interesting Thoughts on the Environment
In an article in Reason.Org in July of 2006 Shikha Dalmia discusses how much more energy is consumed in the life of the Prius, than in the life of the average SUV, or more specifically the beyond average villain the Hummer. Read her article here . It might be vindicating to those of us who drive useful vehicles like my Jeep Cherokee, if we required vindication, which we don't. An interesting thought to explore in light of this cost analysis is the recent attacks on the scientists who propose evidence against man made global warming. They attack the scientists based on who funds them and more specifically who stands to gain from their conclusions. I wonder how many billions of dollars stand to be made by major corporations on the production of vehicles that don't actually save energy in the long run. And I wonder what kind of support those corporations might be funneling into 'scientific' research. Like it or not all science has funding and all funding comes from the production and distribution of goods and services.

I don't understand
How anyone in the world wouldn't want to vote for this man. You'd have to be insane. It's like we all sit around thinking to ourselves 'hmmm good ideas are just so unlikely to work... Can we get maybe some bad ideas, or mediocre ones at least. We know mediocre ideas tend to turn out as well as we expect'. Grrrr... Come on people... you know you want it.
Especially in light of what this guy has to say.
David Walker, Comptroller General for the United States Government
But alas as usual we will end up with some pandering asshole, cause that's just how we do things in the most powerful country in the world.

What's wrong with the R's?
Have they given up the election already? Perhaps they think it's a good idea to start saving for 2012... Why else would you schedule an R debate at 9am on a Sunday? I mean mostly the only people who were likely to tune into an R debate are R's and most of them are either at church or thinking of good excuses for having skipped church. It's like they were trying to keep the debate secret. Which maybe they were. It would surprise me if the R's were conspiring to keep a low profile and let the D's self destruct.
What's more interesting is another little secret that many major news sources are trying to keep under wraps. The winner of the debate. According to numerous online polls, most interestingly one by ABC who ran the debate, Ron Paul won by more than a significant margin. There are numerous reports of the ABC poll resetting after RP took the early lead. Some more of Drudge numbers moving in both directions. Creepy.
ABC POLL
Of course online polls don't reflect what more intricate polling would. For instance, the online polls don't weed out those that are unlikely to actually vote, and while they do have an option for "Nobody won. I'm voting Democratic" there are no safeguards to establish who R primary voters would choose.
I think it's safe to say that while many in this same group have praised RP in the past he and his ideas are open territory for negative attacks amongst the R's. It may be the most taboo idea in the world for an R to suggest that the war with Iraq isn't a good idea. That spells little protection from the RNC for our boy. It's funny that the man polls suggest would be a hands down favorite if he were to be let loose in a general election, stands the least likelihood of actually getting his party's nomination. Well not the least likelihood, I mean Duncan Hunter will be lucky if his own family voted for him. In similar wickedly interesting news (if only in a sense of shcadenfruede) Rudy's daughter's facebook page revealed this week that she plans to vote for Obamalamadingdong. Thanks to Slate for that.
But I digress, the point is that anyone in the media or anywhere else that claims that Ron Paul isn't a contender in this race, that he isn't running to win, is trying to sell you something you shouldn't buy. I've met the man more than once and I promise you that he's not fucking around.

A little Dr. Paul for you.
I will take some time later to rant about the R's having a debate on a Sunday morning. But for the time being enjoy a dose or two of common sense from a man that most people foolishly believe isn't a contender for the Presidency.

More on the Cops
You have to ask yourself what a police officer is. A person with no legal obligation to assist citizens in the face of violent force, who is charged with increasing state revenue by means of subjective enforcement of regulations, in my opinion, is no friend of mine. Certainly no friend of Liberty. I'm torn because I know and like many police officers, but as the the role of the police shifts away from protection and towards fund raising and social engineering I can't help but pine for a resistance movement. Where are the checks and balances that protect us from a police force run by the same government that makes the laws?

Ok I give up
I tried and tried to care about the new Harry Potter... Or any Harry Potter for that matter, but I just can't. I can't even care enough to continue a fake set of spoilers.
I just can't manage to care...
I'm sorry.

Harry Potter Spoiler P.2
Things are not as cut and dry as previously believed in the sudden and tragic death of a young Harry Potter. While first reports left Harry alone in the hotel hung from his own belt, officials will now not confirm that. Also new rumors are flying about what appears to be the body of a young woman removed from the hotel room in the early hours of the morning. Unnamed sources close to the families report that it may indeed be the body of one Hermione Granger and that some large degree of violence may be evident at the scene. Again we are reporting only on rumors and unconfirmed sources so all of this may change when official reports surface. We will remain vigilant and bring you details of what must be the final chapter in the life of a talented young magician.

Harry Potter Spoiler
I have come into some very interesting information and will be sharing it with you all in the weeks to come. I have inside information into the events of the newest Harry Potter book. While I am not a Harry Potter reader I feel it is my duty to share with the world what I know. So here it is, the first installment in my series of Harry Potter Spoilers.
Harry Potter Dies. Details are limited but it does appear to be drug related. Potter was found in his hotel room hanging from a towel rod by his own belt, in what appears to be a tragic instance of auto-erotic-asphyxiation. Potter had allegedly been up late the night before doing speed balls ( a mixture of cocaine and heroin) with several prostitutes; all of whom appear to have left well before the presumed time of death.

Obama wants sex ed in Kindergarten
Here's a theory and I'll admit it's a little hard to take at first. But open your mind and your hear to it and you might be surprised.
Obama suggested this week that he supports a graduated sex ed program that starts in kindergarten. He and a great many other people (most of whom are members of his party,to be fair) say that earlier exposure will make children safer. I have another idea what it's about.
Sex ed is often linked to increased levels of sexual activity among young people. We can easily justify this with teenager as it also lowers the rates of disease and pregnancy among teens who are in all likelihood starting to engage in sexual behavior with or without the classes. While I don't think it's the job of the government to spend my tax dollars teaching teenagers how to give good hand jobs, I'll concede the ground for the purpose of this theory.
If younger and younger kids get sex ed, then it stands to reason that it's possible that at the younger end of the fertility spectrum some children will engage in sex earlier than when they would have naturally since they learned about it between the alphabet and naptime. If that's the case, and since occurances of sexual activity in those younger groups has historically been very minimal then it stands to reason that some of them will do it wrong. As it is difficult to get, lets say 13 year olds, to follow any directions. If some of them are doing it wrong, then likely some of them will get pregnant. And if they do it seems likely that some of them will not have the ability to finish school and go on to lucrative careers.
And what happens to teen parents with little education and no strong ability to pay for food and clothing for what will soon be teen children? Of course... They become Democrat voters.
It's just a theory of course. I don't have the money for a study.

For all those that believe Advertising forces people to do things
The government has forced Tobacco companies for years to implement ad campaigns aimed at discouraging the use of their product. Which could be the dumbest idea I've ever fucking heard. I was in DARE as a child, for number of years police officers would come to my classes and offer a frank and comprehensive lesson on acquisition and use of illegal narcotics. It's not surprising (at least not to me) that my high school became a veritable marketplace for any and all substances people wanted to try. I often observed drug transactions in the classroom and people under the influence of carious drugs in the classroom. Why, you may as, didn't I say anything. Well of course the answer is that we spent year in similar classrooms being taught that drugs were everywhere and that they were almost impossible to avoid. Also we were taught how they were usually distributed and how they were used.
People may be shocked to learn that teenagers don't always glean the same message that adults think they are spreading. The war on drugs, like the war on tobacco has had the strange effect of moving those substances into the common experience of children. The use of alarmist advertising and scare tactics tends to attract more young people than it discourages.

Global Warming Blamed for Lack of Concern over Global Warming
Officials in Johannesburg are blaming the effects of climate change for the unexpectedly low turnout at their leg of the Live Earth concert series over the weekend. It seems that while global warming is supposed to be a really serious issue it's not serious enough to get the issue's activists out on a... wait for it... unusually COLD evening. That's right we wanted to go to the big global warming party but it wasn't warm enough out.
Global warming seems to be just the most recent in a string of causes aimed at keeping lazy hippies from having to get real jobs.

Jefferson Lives
On this day in 1826, two men passed each other on a road in Virginia. Both men carried dire news; the passing of a former president and founding father. One man on his way to the house of Thomas Jefferson to announce the passing of John Adams. One man on his way to the house of John Adams to announce the passing of Thomas Jefferson. 50 years to the day after the signing of the Declaration of Independence, two men instrumental in the founding of our nation passed away within hours of each other.
Adams on his deathbed was comforted about the future of the union by the fact that his friend and rival Thomas Jefferson remained to carry the torch. Little did he know that he had outlived Jefferson by mere hours. Years earlier he had predicted that he would outlive Jefferson and now he believed that to be false. In his last words we can see the hope and the fear for the future of our nation.
"Thomas Jefferson still survives."
Enjoy your 4th of July folks and take a minute to read a little bit of what the revolutionary's wrote. A document that they believed to be their death warrant.

Al Gore's Kid
So Albert Gore III has been arrested again. He was allegedly traveling down a Los Angeles freeway at speeds up to a hundred miles an hour high out of his goddamn mind and probably drunk. He was found to be in possession of Marijuana, Xanax, Valium, Vicodin and Adderall.
And guess what the little heir to the eco-terrorist tree hugger pervert throne was driving... Go on guess...
It was a Prius.
I giggled like a little girl. You will too.
This seems to be the Gore message I think. Save the environment but fuck the people. I wonder is it illegal in California to be driving under the influence and in possession of countless illegal drugs if you are, at the time, driving an environmentally friendly hybrid car. I mean cause that's what matters in the world right now, isn't it?

When are people going to learn
Prosecutorial misconduct is NOT for rich white people... If people like this prick Nifong don't learn this simple fact it's going to ruin the fine art of withholding evidence to achieve and unjust conviction for everyone. I mean what's next? Fair trials for people regardless of race color or creed... Can we afford to let that happen? If prosecutors getting bent over and rogered for their scandalously criminal behavior goes on too long then they might stop doing those things. Think of how many innocent law abiding Black people will stay on the streets then... So this is an open warning to American Jurists, if you don't stop screwing innocent rich white kids, you are going to have to stop screwing all innocent people.

Restoring my faith in Humanity
Every once in a while I see something that reminds me of the good in the world. Something comes along that reminds me that maybe, just maybe not everyone should be killed. Today is one of those days.
Since 1973 the American public have never given the Unites States Congress an approval rating lower than 18%, until today. Today the question do you have a "great deal or quite a lot of confidence in Congress" was met with a yes by only 14% if those questioned.
Gallup
Just to put that into perspective for you... Americans hate congress now more than the Demoncrats hated congress when the Repugnacans were in charge... I'll repeat that for those of you that have trouble reading. Americans, all of us, you, me, all of us, have less confidence in the US Congress than the D's did when the R's were running the show. That means that you'll find more people right now at McDonald's that don't trust the House of Representatives than you would have three years ago at a N.O.W. rally hosted by Gloria Steinem.
Ok so maybe I'm comparing two sets of unrelated data and manipulating them for my own purposes. Perhaps my analysis is less "true" than it is pleasing... But, I will say this, the approval ratings across the board have gone down since the mighty D's came in to save the day. Also people really really hate Congress. I mean more than they hate all kinds of other things... I would venture a guess that 'Congressman' is the most hated minority in America. Take that Blacks, Jews and Mexicans... Ha. Perhaps we should have an immigration policy that keeps members of our own government out.

June Gloom
I'm not one for making predictions (that's not true), but from where I stand the field looks bleak. My estimate at this point is that if the primaries were held today we would be looking at a Hillary Vs. Fred Thompson race. Rasmussen Reports has Thompson taking the lead in the republican race this week even though he has yet to actually enter the race or spend any real money. This may be symptomatic of a failing idea to extend the election season by moving up the primaries. It appears like it was initially a Demoncrat strategy to seize momentum coming out of the midterms. Alas for the D's that theory is short lived. They have faltered out of the gates and now congress is the only group of people in the country less popular than President Bush. With no momentous coat tails to ride on it will be a hard race for the D's. Things are no better for the R's however, with a very unpopular presidency to work past and what looks like a conflict that will outlive the current administration. What's more is that the longer election season doesn't seem to offer any assistance to the R's cause. More time means more money spent by each of the many many candidates and that whittles down the war chests of both parties. The emergence of an outsider, or at least a late entrant in the fray seems the only possible way for a candidate to hit the ground with any kind of real money.
The winners it would seem in this long term arrangement are the media companies that get to sell ad time in all kinds of markets that are usually not in huge demand.
The losers, of course are all of us. We get less real governing for our money and way more campaigning to tie up two major branches of government. I guess I should be pleased as I agree with Thomas Paine that a government is best that governs least. What I'm not pleased about is how much of my money they are pissing away on what amounts to a petty turf war between parties with very little hope of any achievement.
The Loser of the week however is Hillary Clinton... An ad campaign this week on her campaign web site features a video of her and her husband Bill talking about selections on a juke box at a greasy spoon diner. They get dirty looks from the diner attendee's (as well they should). Then Hillary who barely manages to mask her contempt for being in such a common establishment, hints at a selection she has made... Her campaign song. The sketch as I'm told is a spoof on the Soprano's finale' (haven't seen it as I'm working my way through on DVD). Which for a seasoned criminal such as Hillary is appropriate enough, but the real fun is when you find out what the song is.
"You and I" by Canadian Celine Dion.
That's right. Hillary like many D's thinks that the answers for our country's questions lie... In CANADA....
Hill. thinks there are no Americans who can encompass her goals in a race to be the next AMERICAN PRESIDENT.
Just like the queen of the D's to assume that we here in the US are to dumb to understand the direction our country should go.
Seriously... What a cunt.
Besides if you are going to pick a Canadian... Hello... Shatner. Duh

Eco-Fiction-Alarmist-Perverts Targeting Children
"Wise men argue causes, and fools decide them." Frank Tyger
Here it is. Proof positive that the Eco-Alarmist political action groups are intentionally targeting underage children with their propagandist tree-hugger pornography. Worst of all, innocent young Canadians, who of course stand no chance of ever possessing the political clout to affect change.

Aware: (according to Global Warming Alarmists)
Compulsory and unquestioning agreement with a certain dictated set of ideas without the presentation of any dissenting or even differing systems of data.
When a political group claims to 'raise awareness' what they are saying is that no person who examines the same set of data, or any other available data (about which said political group is either unaware or uninterested), could possibly reach a different conclusion, and thusly should not be bothered with an exercise of open discourse, and free thought. Simply accept the opinion of said political group because as you all know they are smarter and much more well read than you could ever hope to be. 'Raising awareness' is an old trick in the realm of public debate in which you 'prove' your point by presupposing it in the basis of the argument. This is a trick well practiced by grifters and con-men in such scams as the paranoia scam, the snake oil scam, and many forms of long and short investment cons, and of course one of the greatest cons of all time The United States Congress.
Make no mistake about it, no matter the true nature of the scientific facts involved, those that seek to close this debate with a cry for action and action alone, those that seek to stifle free and open discourse are no more than sycophantic perverts.

the Red-State America which is so evangelical, where people really do vote their religion

secular." Chris Mathews on Jerry Falwell's death (MSNBC)
See I was almost caught by this statement. I almost took offense at the idea that because I'm from Oregon, a coastal state, I couldn't possibly understand middle America. But Ahhh no, I'm not fooled by you Chris Mathews. I know what what you are really doing is mocking the flyover states and their cute little religion. Mocking the way they shy away from the modernity and cling to the fraying edges of an old way, in the face of the overpowering and unbeatable winds of change. As if Iowa was fighting to keep the internet away.

America Loses an Opponent to....
Whores, Queers, Sodomites, Baby killers, Feminists, Jews, Liberals, Humanists, Pornographers, Larry Flynt, Porno fans, Adulterers, Rag-Heads, Drunks, Smokers, Scientologists, Billy Graham (of all people), All of Hollywood, Blacks, Desmond Tutu, The Pagans, and ANYONE ANYWHERE WHO'S EVER HAD ANY FUN AT ALL.
I will remind you friends, not to celebrate the death of any man. The loss of Jerry Falwell will mark a significant drop in direct mail fund-raising activities for a good many organizations of varying ranges. The vast majority of organizations opposed by the Dr. Falwell have suffered only success as a result. Just ask black South Africans, or Larry Flynt how they're doing and how they like freedom.
Perhaps Dr. Falwell's greatest achievement in life was to create and rally the largest opposition to Christianity in this country's recent history. He sought out any person that he could possibly make an enemy of the church. He made opponents of so many that previously didn't care about Christianity. Way to go Jerry.

Racist
Al Sharpton... Nobody believes your bullshit. You waited less than three weeks after getting a man fired for what you called "racist" comments before you then state that Mormons are not people who "really believe in god". You fucking bigot. It amazes me that nobody has bothered to shoot you, you worthless piece of shit. I'm astonished at how many homicides are take place in America that don't involve Al Sharpton as a victim. I mean seriously I'm not voting for Romney either but to question a mans faith while standing on the high ground from which you destroyed another man's career; I mean I haven't seen this kind of bullshit since your buddy the Honorable Reverend Jesse Jackson knocked up that poor girl while he was consulting Bill Clinton on the Lewinski scandal. Seriously the Black Community is so much better and so much more honorable than you people. You represent nobody.

Melee'
Yeah... I was right this is a VP debate. Running to the party invoking the great Reagan. If the republicans have any sense whatsoever they will let these guys fight over their own mediocrity until all but one of them falls down dead, and whoever is left gets to run as the party whore VP that follows the winning candidate that steps in to clean up the mess.
Standouts from the party boringness include Ron Paul who appeals highly to pre-Reagan conservatives and libertarians and he wants to repeal all kinds of ugly taxes and move us to a sound monetary policy. Oh and who doesn't stand a chance in the primary. Gov. Tommy Thompson who is both well informed and well spoken but will never be presidential. Thompson's the kind of man that would have been great as a candidate 60 years ago. Now he's a VP candidate.
None of these guys is going to be a heavy hitter in a general election. And I'll tell you another thing, Newt Gingrich is not a contender either, whether you like him or not he's not the answer to the R's woes.
Post script:
Nancy and the Governator seen with Mitt at the end... Hmmmm

Pre-Game
Warming up to the first Repugnantcan primary debate, a mere 550 days till Election Day I can hardly contain myself with all this time pressure. This debate follows on the heals of a Demoncrat debate watched by... well I'm sure someone watched it. With the D's there's always a chance that one or more will suddenly burst free and devour their own baby. The R's I'm afraid seem unlikely to be even that interesting. I can't seem to shake the feeling that all ten of these contenders are vying for the VP slot that will open up behind whichever real candidate enters the race when this monkey mess gets out of hand.
It's almost like a group audition in front of Nancy. I hope she has better taste than these guys.
We'll see.

French Presidential Debate
Two candidates for the presidency of France debated each other Wednesday. Though I can't go into the specifics it is believed that they spent the better part of an hour arguing over who hated the Jews more and which one was willing to pay a foreign government a larger amount of money to bomb Israel.
Sources say the debate ended in a draw when both candidates surrendered to each other and then asked the U.S. for help.
